The Cartoon Museum: Create A Comic Strip

The Cartoon Museum is dedicated to preserving the best of British cartoons, caricatures, comics and animation, documenting the history of British comics from the 18th century to the present day. Their Learning Programme provides a range of exciting and unique workshops that encourage young people to explore their creativity and be inspired by the wide variety of cartoons and comic pages in the museum’s collection.

Create A Comic Strip

Students design their own character, practise drawing them from different viewpoints, and use a simple narrative structure to write and draw a one-page comic-strip story. This session can be arranged to reflect topics currently being studied at school, such as ecology, road safety, health, etc.

This session is suitable for all abilities, and is especially useful for groups that find literacy challenging.

Cost: £100 per group, 15% discount for schools from Westminster or Camden
