Creative Futures: Sound & Symbol

Creative Futures offers high-quality arts projects for schools to boost children’s confidence, wellbeing, literacy and language skills, as well as bespoke teacher training.

Our programmes are designed to have lasting positive impact, whilst providing high-quality, accessible and fun arts experiences. Workshops are led by experienced and inspiring DBS-checked practitioners from our family of artists, and overseen by a dedicated Producer.

Learning Offer

Sound & Symbol

Sound & Symbol is an early years music project designed to support social-emotional development, communication, language, and emergent literacy. The project is rooted in research and practice and includes child-initiated play, and group activities with story books, singing, instruments, movement and mark-making.

Close collaboration with class teachers is encouraged in order to leave a legacy of embedded creative practices in the setting. The project is delivered over half a day weekly, for 20-30 weeks.

Art Forms: EYFS, KS1, SEND Music. Curriculum links can be tailored to the school's requirements.
